January 10 | Epiphany Take-Home Blessings
Due to COVID we’ve modified our tradition of a priest coming to bless and inscribe your entryway to keep this wonderful tradition alive. Starting on January 10 we will have all the ingredients ready for you to pick up from the front porch of the church for YOUR OWN Chalking of the Door. We will furnish the pre-blessed chalk, real Holy Water, and a simple short service bulletin for you, while supplies last. Contact Rev. Matthew with questions or for more information and send us your photos of your chalked door.
January 28 & 31 | Binge Reading Mark in Epiphany
Join our clergy for an out-loud reading of the gospel of Mark during Epiphany. Sign up for either Sunday, January 31 at 3:00 p.m. or Thursday, January 28 at 10:00 a.m. by clicking here. The gospels were meant to be read aloud, but when have you read an entire gospel out loud all in one sitting? Our lectionary readings for this year center around Mark’s gospel and we will take turns reading the whole gospel together aloud. We anticipate that each reading will take approximately two hours. For more information, please contact Rev. Matthew Hanisian.
Please note that our Sunday Christian Education classes, including Bible Workbench, Sunday School, and Youth Program meetings will resume on January 10.
