St. Martin’s Snow Closing Policy


Christian Education classes for all ages ~ 9:00-9:45 a.m.

Opportunities include: Adult Forum, The Bible Workbench, and Sunday School (Register for Child or Youth classes)

Episcopal Youth Community (EYC) ~ 5:00-7:00 p.m.

Each Sunday, our young people (grades 6th-12th) gather in Parish Hall from 5:00-7:00 p.m. for fun, fellowship and dinner. For details about EYC, contact Rev. Rhetta.

J2A Yard Sale ~ April 27

Time for Spring Cleaning?  Do you have things in your home that aren’t sparking JOY? Please donate your items to our J2A Yard Sale that will be held on Saturday, April 27 from 8:00 a.m. to 12 noon.  All proceeds from the sale will go to help support the Pilgrimage to Greece.  We will accept items starting Wednesday, April 24.  Drop off at the church office from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. or email Michele Cummings, to arrange pick up or drop off of bigger items. 

Let’s Talk – Suicide Prevention ~ April 30

Suicide can be prevented. This presentation will cover what we know about this leading cause of death, the most up-to-date research on prevention, and what we can all do to fight suicide. Participants will learn the common risk factors for suicide, how to spot the warning signs in others, and how to keep ourselves, our loved ones and those in our community safe. Join us Tuesday, April 30 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary.

March for Our Minds ~ May 1 

All are welcome the morning of Wednesday, May 1 at 6:00 a.m. as we march from St. Martin’s to Severna Park High School to raise awareness for suicide prevention.

Annual Parish Meeting ~ May 12 

The annual meeting of St. Martin’s-in-the-Field will happen as part of our worship service at 10:00 a.m.  We will elect the new vestry class, receive an update on our budget, and hear about some of the many ways the Holy Spirit is alive and active here at St. Martin’s.  All pledging members of our parish family are urged to attend.  For more information or questions, please contact Rev. Youth Celebration Sunday ~ May 19

Central to our church’s identity is our strong and vibrant youth program.  Youth are not, “the future of the church,” they ARE the church, and will play important roles in our worship at both morning services.  Come and hear from all of our seniors at a special reception in Parish Hall following the 10:00 a.m. service.  Contact Rev. Bible Challenge Group ~ Weekly on Tuesdays                   

All are welcome to join us as we begin year two of the challenge to read the Bible in chronological order. You don’t need to have been with us previously to join. We will be using The Chronological Study Bible and The Chronological Guide to the Bible; Explore God’s Word in Historical Order. All are welcome for Bible fellowship every Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m. in St. Martin’s House. For questions and more details contact Cindy Neseth.

Choir Rehearsals ~ Weekly on Tuesdays & Thursdays

For those seeking to praise God through music, we invite you to join our choirs. We are friendly and supportive and would love to have you join us. We have rehearsals for Hand Bell Choir, Tuesday nights at 5:30 p.m. and Adult Choir, Thursday evenings at 7:00 p.m. If you are interested or would like more details, please contact the Director of Music Ministries, Dr. Hye Sung Hwang.

The Shepherd’s Group ~ Weekly on Thursdays

Contemporary Writers Book Group ~ BiWeekly on Wednesdays

 Moms In Prayer ~ Monthly on First Friday

During the school year join us as we lift our children and schools in prayer. We meet at 10:00 a.m. in the lower conference room of St. Martin’s house. All are welcome, we’d love for you to come. Questions? Feel free to ask Sarah Parkison.

Cursillo Ultreya ~ Monthly on Third Friday
