Nursery Attendant Assistant
The Nursery Attendant Assistant supports the Lead Nursery Attendant in providing safe, loving care
for children during Sunday worship services. This role focuses on hands-on care, play, and support
within the nursery. The Nursery Attendant Assistant reports to the Lead Nursery Attendant.
Primary Responsibilities
● Assist with caring for infants and young children during Sunday services.
● Engage children in age-appropriate play and activities.
● Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming nursery environment.
● Support check-in/check-out procedures as directed.
● Follow all nursery safety policies and procedures.
● Communicate needs or concerns to the Lead Nursery Attendant.
● Complete ‘Incident Reports’ as needed and return to Associate Rector&Chaplain.
Qualifications
● Enjoy working with young children.
● Ability to follow direction and work as part of a team.
● Dependability and a calm, caring presence.
● Background check and required church training.
● Background check and any required church or diocesan training (e.g. Safe Church).
Schedule and Compensation
Sundays: 9:00 -11:30am; Nursery Attendant Assistant is expected to work Easter Sunday and Christmas Eve.
Hourly Rate: $16.50/hour
